Change in the WHT Code

If you are trying to make changes to the withholding tax as per the new rates please look at the following notes

 

SAP Note		Legal Requirement Changes
1333889	New requirement / format changes for Challan - Form17	Top of Form TDS payment challan ITR 281 has been replaced with Income Tax Challan Form No 17. Form No. 17 has to be furnished electronically every month giving deductee wise details Bottom of Form
1335088	New requirement / format changes for Certificate-Form 16A	Top of Form Form 16 and Form 16A has been replaced with New Form 16 and Form 16A Bottom of Form
1335089	New requirement / format changes for quarterly returns-24C	Top of Form TDS Compliance Statement in Form No 24C has been introduced under the Rules. This Form has to be submitted on quarterly basis in place of existing eTDS returns Bottom of Form

 

In reference to the Withholding tax rate changes with budget 2009 SAP is still working with their legal counsel and will update  the following note '1359268'
